SESSION DESCRIPTION

In-home observation and consultation sessions are a supplemental service in which the BCBA travels to your home to observe the families use of the treatment procedures in the client’s/child’s natural environment. This service allows for treatment adjustments based on what will be most successful within your home.  There will be both observation of the family and consultation of the results of the observation.  The following areas would be addressed within these sessions.

OBSERVATION IN NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

The BCBA will conduct an observation of the families interactions in the natural environment.  This will assist in identifying areas of need, barriers to treatment, further training).

OBSERVATION OF TREATMENT PROTOCOL

The BCBA will observe the family implementing the treatment goals in the natural environment. This also allows for the BCBA to answer any questions in the moment.

IN-VIVO FEEDBACK AND BCBA MODELING

With having this service in the families natural environment, it allows for in the moment feedback on the implementation of the treatment procedures.  This also is a time for the BCBA to model the implementation in the natural environment.

REVIEW THE RESULTS OF THE OBSERVATION

At the end of the observation, parents and the BCBA will discuss and review the results of the observation.  During this time, there will be a review of any new recommendations and adjustments made to the treatment procedures as needed.
